Let's dance our way into the new year!

Come join us for an energetic evening of community dance and wonderful live music! No need for a partner. Just bring your beautiful self. All your friends can come too!

Lesson at 6:30 PM. If you are new to contra dance, plan on getting there for the lesson to learn about the basic steps. It will help you enjoy your new dance adventure all the more!

If you already know Contra, the dance starts at 7pm.

Masks are optional.

FEATURING: Fine local musicians and callers.

COST: $10 per person at the door includes the lesson and social dance. Under 25 is $5 per person

There will be one mid evening break with light snacks provided.

Don't be dissuaded from attending if you only see a few people sign up. Only a fraction of the attendees sign up through Meetup. There are 30-60 people at each dance.

The wintertime in the US usually looks like a culmination of holiday cheer, traveling home for Christmas, attending holiday gatherings, and dreaming about a white, snowy Christmastime. However, among the best activities travelers and experience during the chilly season are scenic winter train rides in the US through breathtaking snowy landscapes.

So, hitch up your snow boots and head on out for Mexican Train!

The Women by Kristin Hannah follows Frances “Frankie” McGrath, a young nurse who serves during the American conflict in Vietnam in the late 1960s. Raised in privilege, 20-year-old Frankie is eager to find purpose and quickly grows from a naïve woman to a skilled Operating Room (OR) nurse. However, the horrors of war make acclimation to civilian life challenging. Through Frankie, Hannah hopes to elucidate the lesser-known women of the Vietnam War.

We'd love to hear about your book suggestions or any other ideas you may have. We are going to meet every other month instead of monthly. This will give everyone a chance to get the book and have time to read it.

We are gathering eight ladies (that will fit around our dining room table) to try their hand at Texas Hold’em and to have a very fun evening ♥️♣️♦️♠️

We will have a professional dealer…..(my husband Bob).

BYOB or whatever you care to drink; we will be serving pizza.

This event is for the Texas Hold 'em curious, who may not know how to play this fun card game or might know how to play, but don't like the high stakes bidding part of the game. No money will be used in this game.

We will play a modified version of the card game that prevents others from actually playing the card game for fun. Players will receive a number of poker chips to play with for free. You can play until you lose them all. Then, in order to get more chips to stay in the game you will have to barter with other guests using items in your purse (so you may want to put some fun junk in there).

There will be a prize for the winner of all chips.

Note: This is not an instructional event. Players should have some idea of how the game is played. Beginners are welcome!

The goal of this event is to have a fun time playing the card game while having some pizza and sipping some beverages.

Pizza at 5:00; game begins at 5:30.
