GNO Ladies Bunco are like minded women that take some much-needed time for themselves to relax, unwind, and have some fun on the east side of Tucson. We gather every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. not only to play the exciting game of Bunco, but to socialize and build friendships.

We gather at the Culinary Dropout on Grant in Tucson from 2-5 pm on Tuesdays. We are a friendly, all inclusive group. We bring equipment to play ping pong, shuffleboard and cornhole.

Finally a group for us! Tucson is a lovely college / retirement town but this is a group for those of us in the middle!

We do a little of everything, restaurants, bars, karaoke, axe throwing, hiking, mini golf, and days at the resort.

This group is for people between the ages of 30 and 59 only. I only accept members with a recent photo in their profile.

This group is for current members of a Meetup by the same name only.

We are a group of women Baby Boomers ( Baby Boomers are the generation generally defined as people born from 1946 to 1964, during the post-World War II Baby Boom ) who live or like activities on the East side.

We hope to bring together women new to our community, newly “single”, or any ladies wanting to learn a new skill, get some exercise, or to get out and make new friends.Tucson is an incredibly diverse and unique area of the country! I hope you will come explore with me.

RSVPs:

It is not only kind and considerate but very helpful for you to change your RSVP from a “Yes” to a “No” as soon as you know you have a conflict for the date of the event. There are typically others on the event waiting list that would like to take your spot if vacated in a timely manner. In addition, we are required to give the venue twenty-four hours advance notice of the headcount for the appropriate staffing levels. A lot of planning goes into an event such as arrangements for a private room and separate checks, etc. That being said, this group requires a twenty-four hour cancellation notification; exceptions for medical emergencies and illness only, Consideration is Mandatory ! RSVP cancellation less than twenty-four hours before an event will count as a “no-show”.

Membership Termination: Because of the demand for membership, we must adhere to a rather strict set of rules regarding attendance.

You will be removed from the group for the following reasons:

· Two “No Shows 😫

· Inactive/Non-Attendance: You must attend at least one event every two months (60 days) in order to keep your active status. 😣

We are a group of ladies, 50 and beyond, looking to make new friends and have fun with women who enjoy going to breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner, playing games, outdoor activities and any other suggestions such as book and movie discussion groups and special events. Most activities will be on the East to Central side of Tucson, BUT we are open to other locations! Our group is the perfect place to make lasting FUNdamental friendships, so please join us on this exciting journey.

Welcome! We are a group of friendly and fun folks who contradance to live music on Saturday nights once or twice a month. These are open, community dances (usually 50 or more dancers) that begin with an introductory lesson at 6:30. We are an inclusive dance community committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. You can come by yourself or with a group of friends. No experience is required. We love newcomers. If you are new to contra dance be sure to come for the lesson at 6:30, it's really helpful.

Contra dance has mixed origins from English country, Scottish & French dance styles of the 17th century and reportedly was common in the French and English American colonies. It is now a distinct dance form unto itself with a unique American flavor. The dances have distinct moves, such as the partner swing as in square dancing, but they are danced in lines or circles and you change partners every dance. The dances are challenging, but get easier the more you dance: instructions are given before each dance. We have free snacks at the break and often go out to eat after the dance.
