We prioritize purpose over profit. What does that mean? Simply put, while we operate as a business that requires revenue to sustain itself, profit isn’t our driving force. Our true passion lies in helping people form meaningful connections and providing an intuitive platform that makes connecting with others effortless.
Gatherist values group organizers and event hosts. They know best what works for their groups, so we give them the tools to manage their events how they see fit.

I’m a lifelong learner with over 30 years of experience as a software engineer at Google, Microsoft, Canon, and multiple startups. Beyond the tech, my passion lies in meeting new people and discovering fun activities and great restaurants around town.
Through over a decade of attending meet ups, and several years organizing groups up to 4,000 members, I learned that event organizers are the heart of any community. With all of the challenges in planning and running events, the last thing organizers need is an event platform that’s difficult to use. Frustrated but inspired, I decided to build the tool I always wished existed. My goal is to make things as simple as possible for both organizers and attendees, while keeping costs low and passing the savings along.
For now Gatherist is a one-person show (with a lot of help from friends), so please bear with me as I keep all the plates spinning. I promise that great things are in the works.
